School of Visual Arts Submissions

In June of 2017 I had the privilege of studying for two weeks in New York at the School of Visual Arts. The Summer Intensive of Design Writing and Research was exactly that - intensive - but the wisdom and candor of the lecturers made sure a plethora of new skills were passed on to me during a heady stay in the Big Apple.

The professional writers who made the experience everything and more, included Adam Harrison Levy, documentary filmmaker and producer, Virginia Heffernan, author and critic, Molly Heintz, Superscript co-founder, Steven Heller, co-chair MFA Design and author, Karrie Jacobs, author and contributing editor at Architect Magazine, Jennifer Kabat, journalist and Metropolis contributing editor, Robin Pogrebin, the culture reporter at The New York Times, Craig Taylor, author of Five Dials and Rob Walker, technology and culture columnist at Yahoo News.

Adobe Make It 2017

How is it still so difficult for talented female creatives to achieve equality in their professional lives? Listen to Ngaio Parr, Niccola Phillips, Jim Antonopoulos, and Jane Connory, PhD candidate from Monash University, inclusively and constructively discussing implicit bias, privilege, and inequalities - and what we can all do to make change.
